How to edit PDF files
How many times you wanted (or had) to edit a PDF of which you no longer have sources?
OpenOffice 3 offers you the ability to easily do those edits with Draw and a free extension.
Simply install an extension for OpenOffice (free plugin) as follow and you’ll ready to edit your PDFs
1. From the OpenOffice website download the extension, matching your operating system.
2. Go to your OpenOffice (or StarOffice) application and click on the menu
Tools »Extensions Manager.
3. Click the “Add” button and select the file you downloaded in step 1
4. Read and accept the license and restart OpenOffice
Now you can import PDF files and edit them with Draw.
The extension is still in beta, and is not yet possible to edit PDF form or layout, but only contents (text, numbers, dates and images). The objective of the development team is to enable the changes directly with Writer, but they’re still working on it.
The extension is compatible with OpenOffice.org 3.0 and StarOffice 9
